I was very lucky to recently photograph this wedding at Portchester Castle, Portsmouth, Hampshire. It was an overcast morning at the church, but the dramatic castle background added to the imagery. The church is one of the oldest in Hampshire, having been built in 1120 from Isle of Wight stone by the Normans. You can read more on the history here.
The wedding reception was held at Chilworth Manor, Southampton. An old favourite wedding venue of mine, especially when the sun shines! It can be quite a hard reception venue to photograph as the terrace is such a sun trap. I positioned the group photographs with the guests backs to the sun, using fill flash to illuminate their faces. Its knowledge like this when choosing a photographer that makes all the difference!
Thank you guys for such an enjoyable day!
